Hermosa beach in Costa Rica's Central Pacific is home to many surfing competitions each year. The Billabong International Competion took place this last summer. The whole area was packed with locals, spectators and business opportunists.

Located minutes from the surfing town of Jaco, Hermosa attracts experienced surfers and not so experienced surfers. This quiet Costa Rica town has a few businesses including bars, restaurants, Real Estate offices, a small grocery store, hotels, vacation rentals, tour agencies and several services.
